Manassas Battlefield

While Mavis, Tony, Belle, and Amanda were here visiting, we went to the Manassas Battlefield. Here two major battles of the Civil War were faught. Here we are at the Stonewall Jackson Monument.

The first battle of Manassas occurred on this very ground. It was the first taste of war that most of the volunteer soldiers had seen and lack of experience and strategy resulted in 5000 men being killed or wounded here.

Here we are at the Stone House. This was once a Tavern but became a hospital for wounded soldiers during the battles.

It was so great to spend time with many of the Perdues. We are so grateful that they were all able to come out and love our baby girl. Thanks for coming!
