What do you mean Trouble?

It's common for people to say "when they get mobile, your kid is going to be trouble." As a first time parent, you shrug and say, "but it will be so much fun!" We have been helping Wendy to stand up in the hopes that she will be comfortably walking before we have a new baby. She is loving the view from her feet and thoroughly enjoying her new ways of exploration. We have the camera out and ready at all times so we can capture these great moments!

I just had to throw in this first picture because she's so cute! These are her two favorite toys: the books that mom lets her chew on. We read books everyday and she loves it. But, she is also very happy when she can lay on the floor and read her books to herself!
Yes! That is Wendy UNDER the kitchen table, standing up with the legs of the table.

" Uh oh. How do I get down from here?"

I came back from the kitchen and see she has climbed up on my bookshelves. She was pretty proud of herself for this one!

She can't pass the stairs landing without stopping to stand up for a few minutes. And she found a book up there...score!

It's tough to get many jungle gym pictures, but Wendy feels that mom and dad are her personal jungle gym. She loves crawling over us to get to something or climb up us to standing position.

We got her a little activity table at Costco. It was a major score! She loves playing with all the buttons and nobs. And of course, she loves to be able to stand herself up in the middle of the room!

Looking for some more toys in the toy basket.

We have a network video monitor resting on her crib. We can move it to see if she's sleeping or still rolling around. I checked on her one day and this is what I saw. She had pulled herself up to standing by her bed.

What's over there?

"Hey, I see some lights on that camera."

And then the screen went black as the camera fell off the side of the bed onto the floor. Chris' next project is to mount the camera to the wall....out of grabbing range!

We sure love our busy little girl! She is so much fun and we are having a blast watching her discover the world!
