After two weeks, we are completely moved in and settled! Wendy felt like we were visiting this new house until we got pictures on her walls. Now, she feels that she is the Queen of this Castle and she can go anywhere and do anything. It's allot of fun. So, here is a picture tour. Chris is thinking about doing a video tour, so make sure to comment if you want him to.
Starting at the top.....Here is our bedroom loft. That's right, the master bedroom has two floors! We were nervous that this room was going to get too hot, but it has a great fan and cools off a bunch in the evening. We usually end up turning down the fan in the middle of the night because we get cold. We also have our desk up here and will eventually put the elliptical up here as well.
This is the main floor of the master bedroom. There is tons of space and will eventually host a temporary baby bed and rocking chair for Baby #2. That's when we'll most likely move the elliptical upstairs. We have separate male and female closets with tons of room. Wendy is on the constant lookout for something we may have accidentally left out that she can get. She is great at sitting up and crawling. She can even get from laying to sitting up position if she really wants to. But, she usually plays for a minute sitting up and then sees something she needs to get and crawls to get it!
This is the master bathroom. You can see how we can tilt the mirrors to our liking. My mirror is on the left so I can see myself better.
We also have a separate bath and shower. The bathtub is very deep as you can see. It has no jets, so it's much cleaner. Wendy loves splashing around during her baths in this tub. I love that the water is contained inside the tub!
Here is our guest bedroom. Wendy loves to eat this pillow.
Here is Wendy's room. She was so happy to have her animal friends back on her walls! There is a little corner nook that fits her bed perfectly. Her closet is just to the left of her bed.
Here's the other angle of the baby room. Wendy took a break from tackling the lion to smile for the camera. She is really into her stuffed animals right now and giggles when they get her.

I just finished this wall going down the stairs. I'm not the most artistic person, so this was a huge feat for me. But, I think it looks great. It is so much fun to see so many of the faces we love as we go up and down the stairs!
Here is our main room. Our beautiful bookshelves from my parents look amazing in this room and fit perfectly. It's so nice to be able to display some of our travel treasures here. There is a nice deck and trees out the back to provide some great light and privacy for our small backyard. There is a sliding glass door to the left.

Here's a really dark picture of the kitchen. Chris put in the over-the-stove microwave and assembled the shelving unit so I have plenty of space for all my kitchen stuff. It's fun to have this great opening to see the living and dining room from the kitchen!
Here's Wendy in her beauty pose for the camera. There is stone floor below the appliances to prevent water buildup on the wood floors. All Wendy knows is that she can get some serious speed on the hardwood floors!
This picture is messed up, but if you turn your head to the right, you can see pictures from world travels going down the stairs to the basement. There is a door leading to the basement, so we don't have to put a baby gate there, which makes it really nice.
Here are our gigantic bean bags! The 6 foot bag looks pretty small next to the 8 foot bean bag chair, but they are both very comfortable for our whole family. We got to put lots of our travel treasures on the wall down here.
And here's our monster tv! It's nice to have the tv downstairs and have no cables and flashing lights upstairs to tempt our little one! There is a great under-the-stairs closet down the hall to the right. The blue down the hall is a full guest bathroom, and behind the tv is a monster laundry/utility room.
We sure love our new home! It's perfect for our family and we love having people come over and play in our new house. We are so grateful for all of the many blessings we have in our lives. We have great renters paying our mortgage and condo fees for the condo, awesome family support, and this beautiful home to enjoy.
Wendy is taking a break from her explorations to chill in her jungle. It's nap time....the only time she will even take a passy.
