Dusit Zoo

We visited a new zoo in downtown Bangkok a couple of weeks ago.  We saw more trees than animals, but Wendy saw a teeny tiny baby monkey, so she now loves the zoo.  This zoo was full of many Thai people, which means our kids were little celebrities.  They were okay with it until about the twentieth person took a picture with Kyle while he was crying and trying to get out of the stroller to get away from them and a line of Thais was forming for pictures.  We made a quick escape and headed home shortly after that.  Here is Chris and Kyle in front of some monkeys.

Wendy loved watching the monkeys.  Most of the other animals were too hot to move much.

They had a couple of elephants available for people to feed.  Wendy wasn't excited about the feeding part, but really liked looking at the baby elephant.

Kyle was excited about feeding the elephant until the elephant actually took his food out of his hand.  Then Kyle was really mad!

What would you do if you went into the public female bathrooms and this was in each stall?  Welcome to Thailand!!

Wendy wasn't phased by the nastiness of the bathroom.  So, I took off her pants and underwear, put her shoes back on, and let her pee.  I sanitized her like crazy afterwards and she somehow survived. ;)  I, on the other hand, held it all day!

Camels

Wendy loved the idea of feeding a bottle to the goats....until it was time to actually feed them.  Then she wanted nothing to do with them!

Kyle thought it was cool until another goat tried to push his way to the bottle.  Chris ended up doing most of the bottle feeding.
It's outings like this where we feel like we are definitely in a third world country!  It's nice that we are usually a little more isolated from all of the chaos and recognition we get in the Thai communities.
